How To Determine Your Dog's Collar Size
To choose the correct collar size range for your dog, please follow these simple measurement directions. A dressmaker’s tape measure is the most accurate; a shoelace or piece of string can be used and then measured against a ruler. Measure snug against the fur around the mid-point of the dog's neck. In all cases, the extra room needed for a comfortable fit can be estimated by taking the actual-inches-around and adding about 5% of that amount to the total. This method is more accurate than to "measure and add two inches," because two inches may be too much for smaller breeds and not enough for larger breeds.
